Thomas Armstrong.  Thomas William Armstong was born in Brandon in 1888, son of Fred (born Burton Coggles) & Jane (nee Lambley, born Gelston).  In 1911 he was a railway navvy living in Hough.  We haven’t found his enlistment but he may be WR/268585 Sapper T W Armstrong, 296th Railway Company, Royal Engineers, who died 19th Feb 1919 and is buried in Mons (Bergen) Communal Cemetery.
