Don’t Mess with Brandon Residents!

An illegal rave was held at Temple Hill last Saturday night. Police arrived after numerous calls from residents, but the ‘music’ continued throughout the night and Sunday morning, disturbing residents’ sleep.  Cars continued to arrive until local people blocked the access track.  Continuing pressure from residents and councillors brought extra police, including 2 dog teams.  Revelers leaving the site were checked for drink and drugs by traffic police, but the noise continued until a Brandon resident turned off the generator powering the sound system. Remaining trespassers were then encouraged to clear up the mess left around the old barn.

Organizers threatened to return on Sunday night but the police eventually cleared the site and the farmer blocked further access.  Please look out for the driver of a white Subaru Impreza seen acting suspiciously in the area.
