The Toulson family were in Barkston in the 1700s and by the early 1800s were living in Hough.
Joseph Toulson and Mary Holdsworth were the parents of William born 1825 in Hough (picture).
William and his wife Sarah Mary had several children including Stephen (pictured) born 1858 in Hough who had moved to Yorkshire by 1881 where he died in 1933. Charles born c1851 (pictured) was another of their children.
John Toulson born c1837 (pictured) was the son of William Toulson and Mary Moore. William was born in Horbling, Lincolnshire and lived in Bracebridge, Lincolnshire in 1841. He died in Hough in 1864. John died in Albion, New York, USA in 1900. We have not managed to work out how these Toulson families are linked although it seems likely that they are.
