Toulson

The Toulson family were in Barkston in the 1700s and by the early 1800s they were living in Hough.

Joseph Toulson and Mary Holdsworth were the parents of William, born 1825 in Hough. 

William and his wife Sarah Mary had several children in Hough including Charles (c1851-) and Stephen (1858-1933).  Stephen moved to Yorkshire by 1881.

John Toulson (born 1837) was the son of William Toulson and Mary Moore.  William was born in Horbling and was living in Bracebridge (near Lincoln) in 1841.  He died in Hough in 1864.  John died in Albion, New York, USA in 1900.

The grandparents of Joseph and William were William Toulson and Elizabeth (nee Nixon).
